NSTAR Approvals – Streamlined Change Governance for Service Providers.

The NSTAR (Non-Standard Terms and Requests) approval process ensures that any changes within your service environment—whether operational, contractual, or SLA-related—are handled with clarity, control, and compliance.

From the moment a request is submitted, NSTAR provides a structured, auditable workflow that guides the change through each approval stage. It begins with the Submitter, who initiates the request for service modification—be it a custom configuration, revised delivery schedule, or an SLA adjustment.

The request then moves to a Reviewer, who validates the business justification and completeness of the submission. Based on predefined criteria, the Reviewer can return the request for clarification or allow it to progress to the Service Owner.

The Service Owner is responsible for assessing operational impact, resource requirements, and any potential risks. If approved, the request is escalated to the Review Board—typically involving representatives from compliance, legal, and delivery—who ensure the request aligns with broader service policies and governance standards.

Once final approval is granted, relevant documentation (such as SLAs or service descriptions) is updated, and stakeholders are notified. The entire process is logged, version-controlled, and time-stamped, supporting full transparency and audit readiness.

With NSTAR, you can confidently manage exceptions, customisations, and evolving client needs—without compromising service integrity or contractual obligations.
